Meet Chris, the artist behind The Glass Gardner—where light, color, and creativity come together in the most beautiful way. Chris has always been drawn to making art, exploring everything from painting to drawing, but it wasn’t until taking a stained glass class in 2022 that something truly clicked. Since then, they’ve been completely hooked—and we’re so lucky to now have their work in the collective!
Inspired by nature, Chris creates stunning stained glass pieces using the copper foil method, with a special love for organic, flowy shapes and florals. From delicate designs to eye-catching lamp shades (that somehow keep multiplying despite promises of “just one more”), each piece is thoughtfully crafted with an incredible attention to color. Chris finds so much joy in choosing just the right combination of glass—because the magic really happens when the light shines through.
What makes stained glass so special is how it transforms throughout the day. As the light shifts, so do the colors—bringing a sense of warmth, beauty, and even a little mood boost into your space. Chris hopes that each piece brings that same joy to others that it brings in the making.
When they’re not working their creative day job, Chris spends 10–20 hours a week in the studio (usually starting by tidying up from the last creative burst!). And like many artists, sometimes stepping away from a piece is part of the process—coming back later with fresh eyes to make it just right.
Chris loves being part of the collective and sharing their work with a community that values creativity and connection. Be sure to stop by and see their pieces in person—you might just find the perfect little pop of color for your home.
