Lindsay has loved writing since childhood. In school, she filled pages with poems but kept them mostly to herself. The idea of someday writing a children’s book came after having her first child—but, as so many parents know, life got busy!
Fast forward a few years, and Lindsay is now a mom of four: Emily, Sophie, Carson, and Callyanna. Bedtime stories are a nightly tradition in their house, and the family is always on the hunt for something new to read together.
Eventually, Lindsay decided to stop searching for the next story and write one herself!
The inspiration came from a very special member of the family—their ferret, Phoebe. Lindsay wrote a story about Phoebe for the kids, and they loved it. Even better, Lindsay discovered just how much she loved writing stories for them.
One story became another, and Lindsay is now the author of three children’s books!
And who decided those stories needed to be shared beyond their own bedtime routine? Lindsay’s biggest inspirations and biggest fans—her kids. They loved the books so much that they thought everyone else should get to read them, too!
Now Lindsay is bringing those stories to The Collective, giving local families a chance to discover books that began simply as a mom creating something special for her own children.
We absolutely love that a childhood love of writing, four enthusiastic kids, countless bedtime stories, and one little ferret named Phoebe all came together to create something that can now be shared with other families.
