Creative Hangouts: Decoupage & Drip

Let your creativity shine in this fun and hands-on decorative arts class designed just for tweens and teens! In this class, students will explore the art of modern decoupage and decorative painting while transforming everyday objects into beautiful, personalized pieces. Each student will choose a base item such as a trinket dish, vase, bowl, or other decorative piece and then combine paint, patterned papers, and layering techniques to create a one-of-a-kind design. Along the way, students will learn the basics of decoupage, painting techniques, sealing finishes, and how to combine colors and patterns for a polished look. Step-by-step instruction and individual guidance ensure that every student can create something they’re proud of. All materials are included, and students will leave with a finished decorative piece to take home.

Creative Hangouts are relaxed, social classes designed for tweens and teens who enjoy creating and connecting with others. These classes are generally geared toward ages 11 and up, but we trust parents to decide what’s the best fit for their child.
